Creators of their own genre, Alien Pop, Nanu Nanu are a multimedia duo. Glitterface (aka Galway siren Laura Sheeran) and Mirrorman (BellX1 synth ace Marc Aubele) constantly aspire to push boundaries as they combine banging electro pop tunes and an awe-inspiring stage show. Their debut album, was released on May 31, 2013, and was mixed by legendary producer Rob Kirwan (the man who mixed PJ Harvey’s Mercury Prize-winning album, Let England Shake, and the 13th Depeche Mode album). Unit One is a multimedia project, which includes a comic book featuring the adventures of Nanu Nanu as they visit various locations and times in Earth’s history. Nanu Nanu recorded their debut Arena EP for Ireland’s national broadcaster RTE in November 2012. The four track EP was released as a free download on their Bandcamp. Their first single Pocket of Gold and accompanying video was released during the Certain Three Tour in January 2013.
Leftfield duo Voids have been creating their lush, brooding melodies since 2012. Incorporating effected vocals, harmonious bass loops and tripped-out beats, they build layers of emotive textures that lure the listener in. Their first release ‘The Fear’ was well received and they are currently working with critically acclaimed producer Lewis James (https://soundcloud.com/unclelew) to record an EP due for release in early 2014.
