| Back Water Artists Backwater Artists Group was founded in 1990 by graduates of the Crawford College of Art and Design. It has always been our aim to provide safe and secure studio space for artists wishing to remain and work in Cork city. The group studios are located in the Wandesford Quay complex along with Cork Printmakers & The Fenton Gallery, between Sharman Crawford Street and Clarke's Bridge. It is the largest single millennium initiative from either State or private sources. Bank of Ireland allocated €12.5 million to the Trust.To date, the Trust has supported a total of 662 students in furthering their education at third-level. | Bridge Street Studios Bridge Street Studios was founded by four ceramic artists in 1996. It is located in an 18th century building opposite St Nicholas' church in Bridge Street, Dundalk, Co. Louth. This facility functions primarily as a workspace for individual professional artist members, where resources and equipment are shared.When it was first set up it was the first group studio in Co. Louth. Since then its membership has grown. There are now always at least ten professional artists working at Bridge Street Studios. These artists work in a variety of different artistic disciplines including ceramics, painting, textiles and jewellery.
