Aoibheann Mac Namara: Business Advisor
Aoibheann Mac Namara set up the first Ard Bia Restaurant in Donegal, Ireland in 2000, after a successful year she moved the buisness Galway City. In 2006 Mac Namara opened the Contemporary Ard Bia Gallery on William Street in Galway. The following year Mac Namara bought Nimmos and in 2008 opened an Ard Bia Space & Residency program in Berlin, Germany. Aoibheann now lives a peaceful life with a little son and one premises a cafe and restaurant showing good calibre work from established international artists in Galway.
Gwen OSullivan: Marketing Advisor
Gwen O' Sullivan provides Public Relations and Marketing Communications for National and International Events. She works as a Publicist for the Galway Arts Festival and Baboro International Arts Festival for Children. Gwen has also worked as Marketing and PR Manager for the Volvo Ocean Race, Cuirt International Festival of Literature, Arcana Global Event Specialists and Artist Liaison for Kilkenny Arts Festival.
Derval Byrne: Arts Advisor
After five years working in administration in both London and Australia in the early eighties, Derval returned to Galway and began her career in administration and production in the Arts environment in Ireland. For fourteens years Derval worked in Macnas, the Galway Theatre and Street Spectacle company which specialises in Community Art and Celebration. Derval also worked, in various capacities, for Druid Theatre Company, Galway Arts Festival, Dublin Theatre Festival, Baboro International Arts Festival for Children, The Special Olympics, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Roola Boola Childrens Arts Festival-Castlebar, The Electric Picnic, Oxegen Music Festival, Slane Castle, and more recently is working on Ros na Run, an Irish Language Soap Opera and has also worked extensively in film for TG4, Ireland's Irish Language Television Station . Derval is delighted to be involved with MART.
Karen Bracken: Financial Advisor
Karen joins MART with over 10 years experience in senior Financial roles. A commercially minded financial controller / advisor Karen has comes from the high tech and service sector. Most recently she has worked as FC in Webtrade, a web design house and prior to this she worked at FC level for a number of recruitment specialists. Karen graduated from NUI, Galway with a B Comm and is currently study ACCA.
